Phew! In the most surreal way possible, the month of April has FLOWN by! If you are familiar with my Artist Series, you know that I like to highlight an artist each month and present fabulous espadrilles made by them in their medium. I’ve had the pleasure of hosting Arounna from Bookhou, Anne from Flax and Twine, and Jen Hewett among so many other talented artisans. It’s truly a great joy to see so many inspired shoes comes to life. April’s Artist Series is terribly late but it is still happening. I’m thrilled to introduce a FREE pdf on how to indigo dye espadrilles from Anna Joyce of Anna Joyce Designs.
Anna and I are both happy to present the Anna Joyce Indigo Dyed espadrilles as an extra PDF with any I GOT IT kit for the next week! Be sure to leave me your email when you order so I can email it to you.
Anna and I have both been feeling the “quarantine overwhelm” this month. Big time. We thought it would be nice to create a little something extra for free that inspires creative escape. :). So, we want to encourage you to take a break from making masks or teaching/learning 5th grade math or whatever new and unreal activity you find yourself forced to undertake these days and DYE SOME SHOES INSTEAD!
If you already have an I GOT IT kit but want the PDF just email me and I will send it to you. Anna and I just want to spread the happy creative love right now. Thanks to everyone showing support to small sellers like Anna and myself. Mwah! We feel the love!
These indigo dyed shoes turned out so fabulous and dreamy and you deserve a taste of fabulous and dreamy. The I GOT IT kit doesn’t come with fabric or the dye kit but we encourage you to dig up your dyeing material and give it a shot! The project requires a minimum 1/3 yard of lightweight canvas or linen/cotton fabric but a full yard of dyed fabric can be nice to play with for placement purposes..
Anna’s amazing ICE DYE KITS would be so much fun to play around with for this project too. I’m in love with the Wildflower one!
Enjoy and stay safe and healthy everyone! This PDF will only accompany the I GOT IT kit until May 2nd!
