Well hello there! I’ve got such an exciting addition to the Artist Series today, I’m nearly jumping out of my seat. New in the shop are Lotta Espadrilles! You can grab them now!
Yes indeed! The delightful and talented Lotta Jansdotter and I have collaborated on a limited edition release of espadrilles with FIVE of her fabrics for a super special Me Made May. You heard me GUSH about Lotta Jansdotter in my last post, when I made her jacket pattern and now I’m back with LOTTA JANSDOTTER ESPADRILLE KITS!
It’s a dream come true experience for me. Don’t they look gorgeous on Lotta?
Details:
Not only is her talent expansive and her design eye keen but her heart is huge! Lotta’s fabrics are all hand screen-printed by artisans in a small, family-run workshop. The dyes used are nontoxic and the fabric is the perfect blend of linen and cotton. They are, in other words, a perfect match for The Espadrilles Kits.
The following designs are available, in very limited quantities:
+ Enda in Indigo (also shown on Lotta up above)
+ Skissa in Mustard (shown on Gigi Weinberg)
All kits come with both the conventional pattern as well as the brand-new Strappy Pattern. Please note: due to the special nature of the fabric, the kits come with around a fat quarter of the linen-cotton canvas which isn’t enough to make fabric straps. As a result, they come with 4 yards of twill tape for easy and slim-design straps.
I cannot wait to see the beauty that you all create with these spectacular fabrics. They all really have the potential to make wonderful year-round shoes. Of course, I can’t stop imagining them on fabulous vacations and taking in stunning sights.
