I’m thrilled to introduce a new (FREE) pattern for summer…the strappy espadrilles! Get your free copy when you add your name and email to the pop-up form! (Please note, you will need to verify your subscription to my newsletter and the link to the pattern will arrive in a follow-up email. Some folks are reporting that they receive two different emails and I’m working on fixing that! Sorry!)
The feminine curves and minimalist look makes for a great pair of espadrilles in the classic style. It also fits different fabrics really well! You can make these strappy espadrilles in a bold print, a simple solid color or an adorable mix of prints. (Different fabric on the toe and heel? Yes please!)
I picked this summery Rifle Paper Co. fabric, from this starter kit, for my first pair but I’m thinking an abstract design would be so lovely!
For a limited time, if you grab a kit from the shop and add the note, STRAPPY , I will add in 4 yards of either natural or black twill tape so you will have everything you need to create your own strappy espadrilles!
P.S. If you have already made a pair of espadrilles, you might like the Renewal Kit, which comes with just interfacing, espadrilles thread and the shoe soles.

Is there a way to add elastic between the heel and the toe, also does the sole come in extra wide?
Melissa Q. says
I don’t currently have a technique for adding elastic in that way but feel free to experiment! Sadly, the soles don’t come in different width.
