New in the shop! Delicious Lemon Ice and Sun-washed blue striped espadrille kits have arrived. These luscious striped fabrics remind me of slow summer afternoons on Italian beaches.
Can’t you picture it? Cold treat in hand and comfortable handmade shoes on your feet. Shoes you made yourself nonetheless! Like many of us, I can’t travel right now (can you tell?) so I’m letting these stripes take me on a little journey through piazzas and boardwalks with striped cabanas and sandy beach towels. Maybe I’ve been watching too much My Beautiful Friend. Just kidding, there is no such thing as too much of that incredible show.
This time last year I was in France and everywhere we went people had their striped espadrilles on (worn like slip-ons by smashing down the heel? No idea why!). So, perhaps it’s only natural to be drawn to these stripes and imagine them on a new adventure.
Perhaps striped espadrille DIY kits can be the thing to transport us all!
