The Great Pattern Hack :: Delia Creates

Look at that sweet face in such a fantastic dress! I’m so excited that Delia Randall is joining us for the last day of The Great Pattern Hack.  Delia’s style is what I would classify as effortless/meticulous/classy/playful.  There should be a name for this…maybe it’s classic? Either way, I admire her stitching so much!  Her pattern hack sets the same standard. She walks through, in beautiful, clear detail, how to alter a dress with a zipper to have a button closure.  It’s such a small tweak but a really hard to do successfully! And Delia shows how to do it with ease.  I’ll be pinning this one for sure!

Fabric: Delia used Indigo Yukie fabric (one of my favorites, too) and a Cotton Couture solid for the pockets.  Pattern: She tweaked the always-fantastic Sunki Dress from Figgy’s. (It’s my dream that Figgy’s would upsize all their patterns to womens size…how great would that be! I want all of them for myself but especially a Nituna or the Zephyrs, definitely Ayashe…yup, just all of them!)

I can’t believe it’s the last day of the Great Pattern Hack! I’m so sad! It’s been unbelievably fun and inspiring to see everyone’s amazing pattern hacks and I don’t know what I will do with myself when I don’t have another delightful surprise waiting for me.  Hmm…maybe the fun will keep going?  Might just have to watch and see! 🙂
