I will admit, I have saved my favorite for last...the makerie’s sewing retreat. the makerie is a wonderful creative retreat that happens in the hills of boulder, colorado and for the first time they have started up a retreat dedicated just to sewing over a weekend in mid-april. the whole thing was even featured on the martha stewart blog! in addition to yoga and local food every day there are workshops with some of the best, most inspiring teachers out there including amy butler. who, by chance is also leading an intense mind-body workout.
now, I am not the type to pamper myself. in my life I’ve had a total of 4 pedicures and even fewer massages…just not my thing. but, a sewing retreat. well…that is another story. so, after much prompting from my husband I took every penny I made last year and I registered (squeal!). come april I will be packing my bags and heading to Boulder!

Oh, I know. I’m so excited! But, also TERRIFIED that I will be a little weird and star-struck. I am not at all cool in front of people I uber-admire.
